Man attempts to rob Redmond Bi-Mart

A man demanding narcotics attempted to rob the Bi-Mart in Redmond on Thursday afternoon, but fled without receiving the drugs.

Redmond police responded to the store at around 1:15 p.m., where they learned that the suspect had last been seen running north into the parking lot at Albertsons. It is believed he left the area in a vehicle.

The suspect claimed to have a gun but did not display it during the robbery attempt.

Police describe the suspect as between 5-feet-10 and 6-feet-2-inches tall, with a medium to stocky build and dark shoulder- length hair. At the time of the robbery attempt, he was wearing a reddish-orange long-sleeved shirt, black pants, a faded blue baseball cap and sunglasses, and was carrying a blue sweatshirt.
