The Humane Society of the Ochocos is celebrating its 15th anniversary by reducing adoption and sponsorship rates today through Sept. 4. During this period, adoption rates for dogs and puppies will be reduced by 15 percent. Kittens can be adopted for $25 and adult cats for $15. A year’s sponsorship will also be reduced to $135.

Adoptions include a spay or neuter procedure, first vaccines and deworming, microchipping, triple testing and a free vet visit, according to a news release.

The Humane Society of the Ochocos is at 1280 S. Tom McCall Road in Prineville. The shelter is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
