Central Electric schedules outages

Two power outages are scheduled for Central Electric Cooperative customers March 29 and April 2, affecting 10,400 people.

The outages will allow the company to enhance capacity. The first will occur from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and will affect the co-op’s resort substation near Eagle Crest and the Sisters substation.

The outage will affect residents in Sisters and in areas north of the intersection of Highway 126 and Camp Polk Road, including areas east out to Holmes and McKenzie Canyon roads. Also included will be areas south of Highway 126 and southeast along Highway 20 to the vicinity of Plainview Road.

In addition, power will be affected in areas near Cline Falls Highway and Northwest 74th Street, Northwest Eagle Drive and Northwest Kingwood Drive near Highway 126, and Buckhorn, Hunt and Lower Bridge roads north of Highway 126.

The second outage will take place April 2 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The outage will affect customers in areas north and east of Redmond, including the Tetherow Crossing area, in northern Redmond near U.S. Highway 97, which includes the Walmart Supercenter area, and in areas north and east of Madras.

The outage will also affect areas in Prineville and its surrounding areas. Brasada Ranch is not expected to be affected by the outage.
