Ginger’s Kitchenware, a Bend kitchen shop on Newport Avenue, is expanding into the Old Mill District in part of the building formerly occupied by Allyson’s Kitchen.

A June opening is planned, Noelle Fredland, marketing director for the Old Mill, said Monday.

“Ginger’s Kitchenware will be occupying just part of the building. Hopefully we will be making an announcement next Monday about a new tenant for the remainder of the building space,” Fredland said.

Jaime Aguirre, who owns Ginger’s Kitchenware with his wife, Ginger, said that in addition to selling high-quiality kitchen products, Ginger’s Kitchenware will hold a variety of cooking classes in the kitchen on the second floor of the new location after the move is completed in June.

“The extra space at our new location means we can offer a broader array of products and services, as well as adding a new dimension to the Old Mill District experience,” Aguirre said.
