Peggy is survived by her husband, Ed; son, James Brady and daughter-in-law, Carolyn of Richmond, Texas; son, Michael Brady and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann of Springdale, WA; daughter, Alta Brady and son-in-law, Greg Hendrix of Bend, Oregon; and seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Peggy found a path to God after losing her 4-year-old son, Robbie, to Cystic Fibrosis in 1962.

She was an avid reader and loved an occasional trip to the casino. Peggy had a green thumb, and for years supplied her Seattle greenhouse tomato plants to family and friends in Central Oregon and Eastern Washington. She knitted afghans for every family member and for each room at the Hospice House for its opening in 2003.

Two weeks before her death, the family held an a-wake, because Peggy wanted to be included in her celebration of life. She thoroughly enjoyed her party. A private family service was held at the Hospice House chapel following her death.

Peggy left this world with grace and humor. At her request, her ashes will be interred in her Santa Claus cookie jar.

Donations may be made to Partners In Care Hospice House or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
