PORTLAND — Oregon authorities say a woman who fell from a downtown Portland parking garage committed suicide.

The Oregonian reports the Multnomah County medical examiner said Monday the woman was 44 and lived in Portland.

Police responded at 2:30 p.m. Sunday to a report of a person lying on the sidewalk after falling from the garage near the center of downtown Portland.

Medical personnel arrived and declared the woman dead.
