Ginger’s Kitchenware will open in its new location June 6 in Bend’s Old Mill District, the shop announced last week.

The kitchen specialty store will close its longtime location at 1053 N.W. Newport Ave., Bend, permanently on Friday.

The new shop is at 375 S.W. Powerhouse Drive, in part of the location of former tenant Allyson’s Kitchen. The new locale will allow for nearly double the retail space of the former location. The shop will carry new lines of merchandise, and in the loft upstairs will hold cooking classes.

Ginger’s Kitchenware in the Old Mill will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
