Steve and Diney (Paschall) Cook, of La Pine, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Hawaii and a family celebration.

The couple were married July 8, 1961, in Norwalk, Calif. They have two children, Julie (and Rocky) Childress, and Jeff (and Bobbi), both of Bend; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Cook owned and operated the family business, Sunset Plumbing, until his retirement in 2001. Mrs. Cook was a clerk for the Deschutes County Courts until her retirement in 1995. Mr. Cook enjoys golf and hot rod cars. Mrs. Cook enjoys tennis, hiking and cross-country skiing. The couple enjoy spending winters in Arizona.

They have lived in Central Oregon for 33 years.
