Kayla Eastburn

Nov. 30, 1987 – Aug. 29, 2011

Kayla Jean Eastburn of La Pine, Oregon, died August 29,2011 at the age of 23. She was born November 30, 1987 in Bend, Oregon. She was raised in Redmond most of her life, she attended Redmond High School. She enjoyed the drama club, poetry, photography, and was very artistic in drawing and painting. She loved her dogs, Stella and Tonka. She will be remembered for her free spirit and being a fun-loving person with a beautiful smile and a bubbly personality. She adored her Grammy, Teresa Violette, who kept her inspired to be strong in the difficulties of life and was a very big influence in her life. Later on, grandfather Dan Violette kept her laughing and joking and so adored her as one of his own.

She is survived by her father, Dale Eastburn, and mother, Sandra McCallister, sister, Elizabeth Farris, sister, Natasha Little, brother, Cameron McCallister; grandparents, Teresa and Dan Violette, grandmother, Jean Knapp, aunt Cynthia Eastburn, uncle Adam Eastburn, aunt Jennifer McCallister, uncles Beau and Dean McCallister; great uncles and aunts, Don and Jeannie Shores of Tumalo, Ron and Roberta Shirley of Redmond, Linda and Chris DZamba; and ”Uncle Rog” Roger Renner, who was very special to her. Kayla leaves behind a large extended family and many friends who loved her dearly.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Sawyer Park in Bend. A special time of fellowship and reception will follow at the home of Don and Jeannie Shores in Tumalo.
