- Chef Timothy Garling demonstrates a cooking technique during a 2009 class at his restaurant Jackalope Grill in Bend. The restaurant plans to move to downtown Bend.
The Jackalope Grill will be moving from its South Third Street location to a space in the Putnam Pointe building on Lava Road in downtown Bend, according to the Downtown Bend Business Association.
It’s one of four businesses relocating within or into downtown — in addition to five new businesses opening — during the third quarter, according to a news release.
It brings the occupancy rate of leased retail and restaurant space downtown to 94 percent, said Chuck Arnold, executive director of the business association.
The new businesses include a cafe — offering, snacks, drinks and Wi-Fi — a jewelry store and a furniture shop, the news release stated.
