The tournament also is the only WGC event he has failed to win. … Phil Mickelson won the 2007 and 2009 titles. … Top-ranked Luke Donald withdrew to be with his wife for the birth of their second child. … The Australian Open is next week at The Lakes in Sydney, followed by the Presidents Cup at Royal Melbourne. Woods will play in both events.
