Christian Kane comes to Bend this weekend to sing country music.

But if Wikipedia is to be believed — and why wouldn’t you believe a web-based encyclopedia that anyone can edit! — he’s better known for his acting roles.

Kane has appeared in the TV shows “Angel” and “Into the West,” as well as the movies “Just Married” and “Secondhand Lions.” He currently stars in the TNT series “Leverage.”

Again, though, he’s here to sing country music. And Kane’s brand of country music sits comfortably alongside fellow new-schoolers Jason Aldean and Jake Owen, with its arena-rock bombast, heavy twang, clever-ish puns and squealing guitar solos befitting a Poison song.
