Deaths of note from around the world:
Lee Pockriss, 87: Musician whose career spanned television, film and Broadway, and a collaborator on the 1960 hit “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.” Died Nov. 14 at his home in Bridgewater, Conn., after a long illness.
Gregory Papalexis, 86: President, CEO and chairman of Englewood-based Marathon Enterprises — a supplier of hot dogs, buns, onion sauce and other products — and the owner of the Sabrett trademark. Died Friday in Rockleigh, N.J.
Eva Monley, 88: Hollywood location manager whose fluency in Swahili made her a linchpin in the creation of scores of movies filmed in Africa between 1950 and the 1990s, including “The African Queen” and “Out of Africa.” Died Nov. 12 at her home in Nanyuki, Kenya.
I. Michael Heyman, 81: Former secretary of the Smithsonian Institution. Died Saturday in Berkeley, Calif., of emphysema.
