Cleo Mae Alm

Born in Sanish, North Dakota to Lewis and Alice Larson, the first of eight children and the last surviving.

She married James Alm in 1936, and they moved to Bend for work and raised a family. She was a homemaker, and also volunteered for 10 years at St. Charles Hospital. Her interests were family, music, reading, handwork, and current events. She moved to Vancouver, WA, seven years ago.

Cleo was preceded in death by her husband, who passed in 1974, and daughter, Arlene Ladrow who passed in 2001. She is survived by son, James Alm, Jr. of Aloha, OR; daughters, Vicki Campbell of Atascadero, CA, and Pennie Alm, of Vancouver, WA; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to everyone and her sense of humor.

A graveside service is planned for Monday, March 19, at noon at Deschutes Memorial Gardens in Bend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the local American Red Cross.
