Teen Feats
Three Redmond High School students placed in the Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership conference and plan to compete at the national FBLA level in June in San Antonio. Chase Wilcox placed first in the client services event, Collin Fults placed second in the impromptu speaking event and Jose Ramirez placed third in the digital design and production event.
The Center Foundation has awarded the following students scholarships in the 2012 Junior Scholarship Award program, which offers $1,500 scholarships to Central Oregon high school juniors “who demonstrate academic excellence … school leadership and community service,” according to a press release:

Military Notes
Army Pvt. Nichole Donovan graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. Donovan is a 2011 graduate of Redmond High School and the daughter of Raymond Halter, of Terrebonne.
College Notes
Adam Gallion, of Bend, was named to the fall 2011 president’s list at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash. He is a 2009 graduate of Bend High School and the son of Lanny and Teri Gallion, of Bend.
Olivia Nendel, of Prineville, was named to the fall 2011 dean’s list at University of Cincinnati.
James Wolfer, of Redmond, received a Master of Science degree from University of Cincinnati.
