Dorothy Genevieve Timmerhoff Darnell passed away in Redmond, Oregon on July 11, 2012, at the age of 94. She was born on June 24, 1918, to Fred and Ina Timmerhoff in Pillager, MN, After spending her early years in Frasier, CO, her family moved to Long Beach, CA, where she attended school and graduated from Wilson High in 1937. She became a beautician. In 1941, she married Lester (Bob) Darnell who preceded her in death in 1999. They had three sons. Dorothy spent most of her adult life in the Seattle, WA area, where she worked for Boeing. When her husband retired, she helped him farm in eastern Washington, and worked for US Bank as a teller. In 1983, she moved to Roseburg, OR, to be near her family. The last 22 years, she resided in Prineville and Redmond. Her hobbies were sewing, painting and reading. For the last five years she lived at Cougar Springs, Senior Living Community where she was an active charter member.

Dorothys life was based on honoring her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ by serving her family and friends. She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Duane and Janet Darnell of Redmond, OR; Glen and Beth of Hillsborough, OR; and Gary and Valerie Darnell of Pleasanton, CA. Dorothy loved her 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 4, at 10:30 in the Doss Cemetery in Mossyrock, WA. Donations may be made to World Vision: PO Box 9716, Federal Way, WA. Please indicate source code #105429537 ”In Memory of Dorothy Darnell” on the memo line.
