GRANTS PASS — A 2-year-old boy has drowned in a swimming pool in the Southern Oregon community of Kerby.

Josephine County Sheriff Gil Gilbertson told The Grants Pass Daily Courier his office was called because the boy died while no one was watching him.

Gilbertson says the boy’s family was visiting the home of a friend Saturday.

The child’s name was not released.
