- Jen Thompson
Mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and dear friend, Jennifer Burgess Thompson went home to spend eternity with Jesus on October 12, 2012.
Born on March 8th, 1975, Jen spent her years growing up in Bend and graduated from Bend Senior High School in 1993. She studied Graphic Design at Oregon State University.
In 1998, she married Jacob Thompson in Bend. She and Jake were blessed with two amazing boys, Cooper and Cohen. Jen owned her own photography and design business and spent her days working, doing something she was passionate about. Her creativity was captured in every photo she took and everything she designed.
Some of Jen’s favorite things included: Playing with her boys, being with her family, photography, traveling, going to church, annual family camping trips to Trinity Lake, writing, blogging, spending time with her friends, laughing, flip flops, Red Vines, her feisty dog, Oliver, the Boston Red Sox and Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers.
She is survived by her two sons, Cooper and Cohen Thompson and their father, Jake Thompson, Bill and Patti Burgess, Deborah Moir, Nate, Kacy, Bella and Blu Burgess, Brandi, Piper and Traci Bailey.
Jen touched people’s lives in ways she never imagined were possible. Her spirit was calming and her presence was peaceful. Her dimples and smile could only make you smile and the light in her eyes always twinkled so bright. She gave her whole heart into everything she did, down to every little detail. tail. Her story was left as a legacy for all of us to share and be inspired by. Her dream was to create a foundation that will help people with isolated needs such as her own. Her dream will be honored.
Please join us in celebrating Jen and the beautiful life she shared with us on October 28th, 2012. A Memorial service will be held at Redmond Community Church, 237 NW 9th Street in Redmond, Oregon at 3:00 p.m. and a community wide Celebration Concert with Cloverdayle at 6:30 p.m. at Bend Senior High School Auditorium – tickets available at the door.
Jen would only want the happiest of times and the brightest of colors.
