Deaths of note from around the world:

Phoebe Hearst Cooke, 85: Former member of the board of directors of Hearst Corp. and a granddaughter of corporation founder William Randolph Hearst, she served 36 years on the board, beginning in 1962. Died Sunday of pneumonia in Templeton, Calif.

Seth Tillman, 82: A key aide to late Sen. J. William Fulbright, longtime chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Tillman helped write many of Fulbright’s most noted speeches and helped shape his powerfully influential opposition to the Vietnam War. Died Nov. 16 at the Washington Home hospice in Washington, D.C.
