Leonide ‘Lee’ (Roats) Davidson

Lee Davidson passed away November 27, 2012, from natural causes at her home in Tigard, Oregon.

Lee was born in Red Cloud, Nebraska, May 15, 1910, to William and Elizabeth Roats.

Lee attended Wyoming State University, where she majored in music theory. In 1944, she moved West to Bend, where she would live for the next 52 years.

While in Bend, she worked for McGill Drugs, St. Charles Hospital and Drs. Mackey, McCusker and White.

She was a member of the Bend Elks and was active in Lady Elks, participating with the Drill Team.

On May 15, 2012, Lee celebrated her 102nd birthday. Well known for her independent spirit and sense of humor, Lee will be missed by all of those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and older brothers, Slim and Gus Roats. She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Rankin; nephew, Bill Roats.

Service will be private. Donations may be made to Humane Society of Central Oregon.
