Katie Clayton and Joshua Shirley, both of Summerville, S.C., plan to marry Jan. 26 at The River House at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, S.C.

The future bride is the daughter of Michael and Karen Clayton, of Princeton, Ky. She is a graduate of Caldwell High School, in Princeton, and is a student at Lacy School of Cosmetology.

The future groom is the son of John Shirley, of Eugene, and Gary and Kim Weger, of Bend. He is a graduate of Bend High School and a graduate of University of Oregon, where he studied psychology. He is a nuclear field technician in the U.S. Navy.
