8 p.m. on (CW), ‘‘Hart of Dixie’’ — Lavon’s (Cress Williams) personal issues cause him to neglect his duties as mayor, and the timing couldn’t be worse: A reporter from Southern Living is in town to cover BlueBell’s Pioneer Day. Zoe and Wade (Rachel Bilson, Wilson Bethel) offer to help by playing the town’s founding couple, while Lemon and AnnaBeth (Jaime King, Kaitlyn Black) try to get the gig catering the First Feast in the new episode ‘‘Old Alabama.’’

8 p.m. on 7, ‘‘Pioneers of Television’’ — From a look at the first female stand-up comedians to appear on television — including Phyllis Diller, in her final interview — to Lucille Ball’s breakthrough on ‘‘I Love Lucy’’ and behind-the-scenes stories from Carol Burnett and more, the season premiere, ‘‘Funny Ladies,’’ looks back at the funniest women in TV history.

8:31 p.m. on 2, 9, ‘‘Suburgatory’’ — With Dalia (Carly Chaikin) distracted by her father’s relationship, Kimantha, Kenzie and Kaitlyn (Abbie Cobb, Kara Pacitto, Katelyn Pacitto) turn to Tessa and Lisa (Jane Levy, Allie Grant). Later, her dad’s elopement has Dalia needing support, which she seeks from Evan (Sam Lerner). An intimate encounter with Dallas (Cheryl Hines) isn’t what George (Jeremy Sisto) expected in ‘‘Foam Finger.’’ Alan Tudyk also stars.

10 p.m. on FOOD, ‘‘Chopped’’ — Four champions who previously mastered the ‘‘Chopped’’ baskets return to compete for a $50,000 prize. In ‘‘Chopped Champions: Part 1,’’ the appetizer round challenges them to make something tasty with haggis. In the entree round, sweet dough and another unusual protein unnerve the competitors. And unripe plantains inspire a pair of wrapped desserts in the final round.

10 p.m. on FX, ‘‘Justified’’ — Family secrets in Harlan … imagine that. Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) crosses paths with a dangerous family hiding something dark in this new episode, while Boyd (Walton Goggins) deals with a snake-handling preacher. Dave Florek guest stars in ‘‘Where’s Waldo?’’

10:30 p.m. on SYFY, ‘‘Total Blackout’’ — The game show resumes its second season tonight at a special time and returns to its regular time slot next week. Jaleel White hosts as contestants battle one another and their fears in a series of challenges, with a twist: They all take place in complete darkness. Night-vision cameras allow viewers at home to witness the action.
