Kathryn Garrison Madarus, 59, passed away March 22, 2013 at St. Charles in Redmond, Oregon, after fighting a long, hard battle with cancer.
Kathryn was born in Grants Pass, Oregon to Dean and Violet Garrison. She graduated from South Eugene High School in 1971 and worked in the manufacturing industry most of her life. Most recently she was employed at Fuel Safe of Redmond as an inventory specialist.
Kathryn is survived by her husband of 13 years, Dennis Madarus of Terrebonne, Oregon; her mother and step-father, Violet and Richard Stivahtis of Gresham, Oregon; her brother, Lowell ”Rusty” Garrison of Tucson, Arizona; and her beloved pets, Hank and Chester. Her father, Dean, predeceased her.
Kathryn enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and was an excellent cook. She loved living in Central Oregon where she met the love of her life, Dennis. She was a kind and gentle person who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Dennis would like to specially thank the staff at the Redmond St. Charles Hospital; Dr. Calomini and staff at the Redmond Cancer Center; and Cindy McLean in radiology for the compassion and dedication they provided her at the end of her life.
