April 27, 1926 – May 17, 2013

Elizabeth Bette Brooks of Bend, Oregon, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, with her beloved family by her side. She was 87 years old. Bette was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Floyd G. and Addison P. Withrow. She graduated from Glendale High School in Glendale, CA and attended the University of Southern California. She married Lloyd ‘Bud’ F. Brooks on September 22, 1945.

Bette was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and nana who thoroughly enjoyed her family and pets.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William G. Withrow. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bud Brooks; her daughter, Cindy Smith and husband, Steve; and daughter, Mary Brooks Grant. She is survived by grandson, Todd Smith and wife, Suzi; grandson, Terry Smith and wife, Stephanie; and grandson, Nicholas Bryant. Bette also has five great-grandchildren; Noah, Cali, Spencer, McKenna and Samantha. She also leaves behind many family members and close friends.
