Season Showcase Saturday at 2nd Street

Stage Right Productions will host the 2013-14 Season Showcase at 7 p.m. Saturday at 2nd Street Theater, 220 N.E. Lafayette Ave., in Bend.

Along with a silent auction, the two-hour event includes improv from Bend Improv Group and play scenes and songs, including several tunes from the upcoming Central Oregon premier of Monty Python’s “Spamalot,” opening in September at the Tower Theatre in Bend.

The three finalist plays of the Playwrights Platform will also be announced, one of which will be staged during the upcoming season.

Proceeds from Saturday’s event will go to support “Spamalot,” as well as the upcoming season. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. The silent auction will take place from 7-8 p.m. A cash bar will also be on hand.
