• Tom Kemper, of Redmond, has been elected to the board of directors of the Oregon Opportunity Network in Portland. Kemper, an attorney and former real estate developer, is the executive director of Housing Works.

• Deana Jones has completed training to become a certified health insurance agent for Cover Oregon. Jones is the owner of Juniper Insurance in Bend.

• Kris Rees was the top selling agent at the Coldwell Banker Mayfield Realty office in Redmond for the month of September.

• Larry Bailey was the top listing agent at the Coldwell Banker Mayfield Realty office in Redmond for the month of September.

• Linda Fisher-Berlanga has been accepted as a member of the Professional Evening Networkers group of Bend. Fisher-Berlanga is a loan officer with the Central Oregon Evergreen Home Loans branch.

• Randy Crossley has joined the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Northwest Living Team as a real estate broker. Crossley has more than 10 years of experience in real estate related fields.

• Dr. Thomas Connolly, has received the 2013 Earle A. Chiles Award from the High Desert Museum. Connolly is the research director at the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History and State Museum of Anthropology. The $15,000 award honors Connolly’s work leading teams of archaeologists who conduct resource management studies for state agencies, utility companies, federal agencies and municipalities.

• David Lyon, senior vice president of Bend Research, has been elected to the board of trustees of the Oregon Alliance of Independent Colleges and Universities.

• David Myslinskihas joined Every Idea Marketing as creative director. Myslinski, with a degree in art and advertising graphics design, has more than 20 years of industry experience.

• Ron Bessling has been elected president of the Bend Chamber Toastmasters club.

• Diane Allen has been elected vice president of education of the Bend Chamber Toastmasters club.

• Jacob Farin has been elected vice president of membership of the Bend Chamber Toastmasters club.

• Richard Esterman has been elected vice president of public relations of the Bend Chamber Toastmasters club.
