PUBLIC LEAGUES

Today: The Central Oregon Every Woman’s Golf Association is hosting a member recruiting event at Central Oregon Indoor Golf, 1245 S.E. Third Street in Bend. Event begins at 4:30 p.m. and is open to any Central Oregon woman interested in golf. Event includes appetizers and nine holes of golf on an electronic simulator. Cost is $15 and includes a $20 membership discount to the EWGA, which during the golf season hosts weeknight league events and Saturday play. For more information: www.ewgaco.com.

March 20: The Men’s club at Lost Tracks Golf Club is hosting its initial 2014 general meeting at 6 p.m. in the Bend course’s clubhouse. Any golfer interested in learning more about the club are invited to join the current men’s club members at the free meeting. The men’s club season begins in April and run through October. Central Oregon Senior Men: The Central Oregon Senior Golf Organization meets on a Monday each month at golf courses across the region. Series is open to men’s club members of host sites. Cost is $120 per team, and includes golf cart for the first 34 team to RSVP, prizes and hosted beer. Deadline to enter is March 15 and field is limited to 45 teams. April 25-27: The Central Oregon Shootout is a two-person team event held at Aspen Lakes Golf Course in Sisters, Black Butte Ranch and Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond. May 6-8: Central Oregon Senior Spring Tour Pro-Am is for teams and individuals through the Oregon Chapter of the PGA. Golfers will compete in a net Stableford, gross and net stroke play and one gross and two net formats. Golfers must be 50 years old or older. Cost is $960 per team.
