The Deschutes Public Library system will host a Royal Tea Party Tuesday in Redmond.

Open to children ages 2 to 11, the event features a Queen of Library Land, a reader’s theater production of “The King’s Breakfast” by A.A. Milne and a sing-along. Participants are encouraged to dress in crowns, sparkles, capes, wings, velvet and lace, according to a news release. Light refreshments will be served.

The party will begin at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Redmond Public Library, located at 827 S.W. Deschutes Ave.

Space is limited, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
