Jeanne Poulson was born February 3, 1924 to Coral and Forest Edwards in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She passed peacefully in her home February 24, 2014.
She attended school at University of Idaho and went on to become a Western Airlines stewardess in
1946. In 1947 she married Bill Barnes. They had three children and lived a full life until Bill died of pancreatic cancer in 1969.
Jeanne established and ran for 10 years the first career center at San Carlos High School, San Carlos, California. In 1979 she moved from California to retire in Sunriver, Oregon. Her hobbies were golf, playing cards with friends, reading and art.
In 1984 she married Howard Poulson, who then preceded her in death in 2010, after moving to Touchmark. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack T. Edwards and Jerry F. Edwards.
Jeanne is survived by her three children, Jerry Barnes and wife, Shelley, Claudia Barnes, and Jamie Barnes and wife, Loretta; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Carol Couch.
A Celebration of Life will be held for her 3:00 p.m. Saturday April 5 at River Lodge, Touchmark at Mt. Bachelor, Bend, OR. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a contribution to the Salvation Army or Humane Society.
