Evelyn Caroline (Scharbach) Markham of Bend, OR passed away Wednesday at the age of 94. She was born in Colton Washington on October 22, 1919 to John and Anna Scharbach. She married the love of her life, Elden Markham, on July 2, 1940.

Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was adored by everyone. In her later years, she became interested in baseball and basketball. Gonzaga has lost their #1 fan.

She is survived by her daughters Lela Ann (Bob) Bunday of Bend, Oregon, Connie (Jim) Brady of Caldwell, Idaho, and a son Rick (Pam) Markham of Spokane, Washington; eight grandchildren, Julie Bunday Harden, Rod and Randy Bunday, Ryan and Marc Brady, Kashari Ferris, Joey and Jeff Poindexter; nine great grandchildren; Nichole and Tyler Harden, Megan and Casey Bunday, Dahkota, Lexi and Hunter Brady, Hunter and Pattyn Poindexter; and one great great grandchild: Opal Lee Dann; one sister Marietta (Pat) Parvey of Spokane and one brother Orville Scharbach of Grand Coulee, Washington. She was preceded in death by her brother Clarence Scharbach.

Viewing will be from 10:00-10:30 on Thursday, April 24th, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Spokane Valley, WA.

Interment will be 10:00 on Friday, April 25th, at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens, Lewiston, Idaho. The family suggests that memorials be made to Partners In Care (Hospice), 2075 NE Wyatt Court, Bend, Oregon 97701.
