The Deschutes County Community Development Department has a new tool that can help people learn more about local history.

The department’s “story map” shows the people the location of historic landmarks in Sisters and rural Deschutes County on an interactive, web-based map that can be viewed at deschutes.maps.arcgis.com. Users can scroll over the map to see historic structures, places and sites, then click for photos and more detailed information.
