Dana (Dan) Ray Carty passed away in Bend, OR on May 20, 2014. He was 64 years old.

Dan was born in Sunnyside, WA and moved to Bend, OR in 1950. He graduated from Bend High School in 1967. He worked in advertising, radio, TV and earned a National Award for his advertising sales. Dan loved music, and playing guitar. He loved hunting, fishing and his beloved dog, Bailey.

He is survived by two brothers, Michael Terrance Carty and Briane Vaughn Carty; and a sister, Maureen Diane Carty.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Carty and Marjorie Lou Carty; and his only daughter, Kimberly Carty.

Donations to the Diabetes Foundation or the Kidney Foundation may be made in behalf of Dan.
