The latest incarnation of the psychedelic Furthur Bus has been spotted in Bend this week in advance of a film screening here. The bus is being driven across the United States in commemoration of late author Ken Kesey’s famed cross-country journey with the Merry Pranksters 50 years ago and will be on display Tuesday at McMenamins Old St. Francis Theater, where there will be a screening of Alex Gibney’s raw-footage documentary about the 1964 ride, “MagicTrip.” Kesey’s son, Zane, the mastermind of the 2014 trek, is slated to conduct a Q-and-A after the screening.
