Rogues cruise past Elks 8-2

MEDFORD — With all of its scoring in the middle three innings, Medford pulled away for an 8-2 West Coast League victory over Bend on Saturday night at Harry and David Field.

The Rogues (13-10)scored two runs in the fourth inning, three in the fifth and three in the sixth en route to the victory over the Elks (15-12). The win also moved Medford percentage points over Bend for second place in the WCL South Division.

Brock Carpenter led the Elks at the plate with two hits.

Bend will be off today, but will return to action Monday when it hosts Klamath Falls for a three-game series.
