Charlie Haden, 76: Bassist who helped change the shape of jazz as a member of Ornette Coleman’s quartet and liberated the bass from its traditional rhythm section role. Died Friday in Los Angeles.

Dave Legeno, 50: Actor who played Fenrir Greyback in three “Harry Potter” films. He was found dead Thursday in Death Valley National Park.
