April 1, 1958 – June 14, 2014
On June 14, 2014, in Bend, Oregon, the world lost a loving gentle soul.
He was born April 1, 1958, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where he grew up and attended school.
Jeff had numerous jobs including working for Weyerhaeuser and the University of California in Tulelake. Jeff followed family and moved to Central Oregon, where he worked in production and security.
Jeff’s great passion in life was a love for birds and children. He enjoyed learn- ing about animals and teaching children about them. Jeff touched the lives of hundreds of children through his work in 4-H, FFA and schools. He was instrumental in reviving the 4-H small animal program in Jefferson County.
Jeff spent his free time hatching eggs, judging shows and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents. He is survived today by his brother and sisters, Diane, Dave, and Vanessa of Sweet Home, Oregon, Cliff and Tina of Keno, Oregon, Alex of Klamath Falls, Oregon and numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of life memorial will be held 11:00 a.m., July 19, 2014, at the Grange Hall in Terrebonne, Oregon, with a potluck to follow. In lieu of flowers, an annual scholarship benefiting 4-H and FFA kids is established in Jeff’s memory; donations may be made at any Chase Bank.
Deschutes Memorial Chapel is honored to be entrusted with Jeff’s arrangements.
