Charles Eugene Scott, 83, of Bend, passed away August 1, 2014. He was born April 3, 1931, in Waldron, Arkansas, to Floyd & Iva (Tate) Scott.

He grew up on a farm in Oklahoma. At age 17, he joined the Army and served in Korea. Charles moved to Oregon, after his discharge and worked in the lumber mills for several years.

He married Iris Babcock December 31, 1960, and they spent 53 years together.

In later years, Charles was an auto mechanic and loved working on cars and restoring them.

He is survived by his wife, Iris; children, Charles, Geneva, Douglas and Larry; two daughters-in-law, Dianna and Lisa. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy. His surviving siblings, Shirley, Iva Dale, Edith, Maxine, Cookie and Lewis. Siblings preceding him were, Charlotte, Judy and Christine. He is also survived by several grandchildren.

A gathering of family & friends will be held at a later date.
