ELMIRA — Five turnovers proved costly for Sisters in a 47-17 loss to Elmira in a Sky-Em League football game Friday night.
“Those five turnovers killed us,” said Sisters coach Gary Thorson, whose team trailed 31-6 at the half. “We just laid an egg.”
Logan Schutte scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter for the visiting Outlaws (3-1 Sky-Em, 4-3 overall). Connor Gellings capped the Sisters scoring with a 6-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.
The Outlaws wrap up conference play next Friday with a home contest against Sweet Home.
