Representatives of the Portland Trail Blazers, featuring former Blazer star Jerome Kersey, will be in Central Oregon today as part of the Rip City Relay.

In addition to visiting schools in Bend and Redmond during the day, the Blazer personalities — including TV broadcaster Mike Rice, team mascot Blaze the Trail Cat and members of the Blazer Dancers — will take part in a Rip City Fair community gathering from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Moda offices, 360 SW Bond St. in downtown Bend.
