Roadwork Saturday will likely cause delays on U.S. Highway 26 west of Government Camp.
Drivers on the highway connecting Central Oregon and the Portland metro area may encounter 20-minutes delays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation. The contractor, K&E Excavating, plans to paint new stripes in both of the highway’s westbound lanes near the U.S. 26 Mount Hood Safety Project.
Wet weather could postpone the work planned for Saturday, according to ODOT. Workers are preparing to shut down the larger construction project for the winter. The project is set to resume early next April.
