December 3, 1990 – October 29, 2014

Seth Daniel Roberts, 23, died October 29th at his home in Bend, Oregon. He was born in Enterprise, Oregon to Susan Elaine Stafford and Daniel Brent Roberts on December 3, 1990. Seth loved the outdoors. He started sliding down hills at the age of 3 on a snowboard made from an old skateboard deck; and since then had an unrivaled passion for life on the mountain. He spent weekends snowboarding with his dad, “Fireball” and his sister Heather. At the age of 13, Seth and his mother moved to Bend, so he could follow his passion and turn it into a career. He joined MBSEF and participated in regional and national competitions, and filmed snowboarding videos.

At 15, Seth began working at Mt. Bachelor and Acrovision teaching children how to snowboard. He made an impact on many people on and off the mountain and will be greatly missed. Seth is survived by his mother, Susan Stafford, his sister Heather Stafford Miller, his niece Savannah Rain, who held a special place in his heart, and his best friend Daisy the cocker spaniel.

A celebration of Seth’s Life will be held at Ferguson Ridge Ski Area outside of Joseph, Oregon on December 6th at 3:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been set up through gofundme,com/sethandsuzi and at the Bank of the Cascades, c/o Barbara Ann Loney, FBO: Seth Roberts/Susan Stafford Memorial & Recovery Fund, PO Box 9099, Bend, Oregon 97708.
