No more easy games for Beavs

CORVALLIS — Oregon State’s players and coaches know they must throw out the records of all future opponents.
The No. 7 Beavers are going to get each team’s best from here on out.
The Beavers have won 18 straight conference games dating back to last season going into tonight’s home game against UCLA. And they have been playing at a high level most of the season.
So, is coach Scott Rueck concerned that the Beavers might be peaking too early?
“No, we’ve got so far to go,” he said. “You look at the box score and there’s nothing perfect on this. Even defensively it’s not perfect. So we’ve got a long way to go, we know that. It’s possession by possession. That’s all we can control.”
Added Jamie Weisner: “We always talk about just trying to limit our weaknesses and I think every day we go into the gym with that mindset. We have tough practices every day and everyone is working together toward that goal.”
