- Joe Kline / The Bulletin A construction worker builds a storage center Friday on Plateau Court near Empire Avenue, in Bend.
Owner: L & D of Oregon Inc.
General Contractor: Rimrock Building LLC, Bend
Details: A cul-de-sac just off Empire Avenue will be seeing a new storage center in late spring, according to Mike Fassett, the owner of the property at 63076 Plateau Court, Bend.
The parcel, which is two-thirds of an acre and located in the area known as the North Brinson Business Park, was sold to L & D Holdings, which Fassett owns, in October 2014. The storage building will be 7,185 square feet.
Fassett, who also owns an identical warehouse on the adjacent property, as well as the local company Red Carpet Car Wash, said the new storage center will be rented out to Charles Earp, who said he rented the facility as part of a business venture that is awaiting a patent. Earp would not elaborate further. He left the door open for the warehouse to become the headquarters of the business once it takes off.
“It’s kind of up in the air at the moment,” Earp said.
Fassett said the warehouse would be completed by May, if everything goes well. He added that Trac Towing, which uses the adjacent warehouse, would also be using the new building for storage.
