Kenneth Eugene James of Redmond, Oregon, passed away at his home on February 24, 2015. He was 86.
Ken was born April 8, 1928 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Wilbur and Leona (Lehn) James. He grew up in Lincoln, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1946. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy until 1947. He then attended Nebraska State Trade School, completing the Auto Body and Repair course in 1950. Ken worked as a painter in the maintenance department at Ventura County Medical Center, until retiring in 1990.
Ken was an active member of the Redmond Senior Center, a member of the Redmond Rod and Gun Club and the Bend Trap Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Evelyn F. James; his daughters, Nancy J. (husband Rick) Ius, Kristi K. (husband Michael) Gaffery and daughter in-law, Pauline James. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both parents; a son, Gary E. James and a brother.
