Bend Chamber names Women of the Year

The Bend Chamber of Commerce recognized four women from Central Oregon tonight in its inaugural Women of the Year Awards ceremony at the Tower Theatre.
• Becky Johnson, vice president of Oregon State University-Cascades, was named Woman of the Year.
• Kristina Guerrero — creator of TurboPup, an energy bar for dogs, and an Air Force veteran — was named the Young Woman of the Year.
• Betsy Warriner, executive director of Volunteer Connect, received the Community Hero Award, and
• Bella Wiener, who plans to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in June to raise money for an organization that works on behalf of women, was selected for the Young Hero Award.
