Ida Julia Hirn

Jan. 4, 1913 – Mar. 22, 2015Julia Hirn lived a fruitful and active life for 102 years, and graduated into the Kingdom of Heaven on March 22, 2015. She was born Jan. 4, 1913 in Astoria OR, and graduated high school as valedictorian in 1931. In 1938, she married her Sunday school friend, Toivo John Hirn in Portland, OR. They raised three children and settled in Central Oregon. In 2013 She moved to Vale OR, to live with daughter, Ellie Duncan. She went to Pioneer Place Center nearby where she finished her earthly journey. Her children, Fred Hirn of Bend, OR, Alice McGee of Raleigh, NC, and Ellie Duncan of Vale, OR, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grand- children and many friends and relatives will remember her loving and gentle spirit which left a great impact on their lives. Her Memorial Celebration will be 1:30 p.m. March 28 at Grace First Lutheran Church, in Bend.
