Born October 13, 1924 in Seattle, Washington to Mary Jean and David Riley, died April 25, 2015 in Bend, Oregon. Doreen was 90.

Doreen (Dean) was the youngest of her siblings; brothers Earl, Carl, and Ralph. She was married for 67 years to William H. Bartles, Cmdr, USN, and Retired and is survived by her son, David of Los Angeles, CA, and daughter Deborah of Vancouver, WA; and granddaughters, Merette and Nicole. She died of natural causes.

Doreen was a devoted Navy wife and mother; she was devoted to Bill’s Navy career and provided a great support for all he did. Dean loved her friends, enjoyed golfing, bowling; the beautiful outdoors of La Pine and Bend, Oregon. She was a talented gardener, and had a great flair for interior design.

A memorial service in Doreen’s honor will be held at Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home (chapel) at 105 NW Irving Avenue, Bend, OR 97701 on Thursday, April 30th at 2:00 p.m.
