St. Charles Medical Center has purchased 3 acres in NorthWest Crossing on Bend’s west side for $1.6 million.
The western edge of the property is about 350 feet from Summit High School’s athletic fields.
The lot is bounded by Mt. Washington, Clearwater and York drives, according to Deschutes County property records.
The medical center bought the property from Miller Pumice Plant LLC on Feb. 20, according to Deschutes County records. The property is zoned for industrial use.
St. Charles spokeswoman Lisa Goodman said Monday the medical center has no immediate plans for the property. She declined to say whether the medical center might build a satellite clinic there.
A medical office park, Shevlin Health & Wellness Center, is under construction in NorthWest Crossing. Taylor Brooks LLC is building 67,000 square feet of office space on 4.7 acres at NW Crossing Drive and NW Shevlin Park Road. High Lakes Health Care is one of six businesses on board with the project.
In October, Bend Memorial Clinic opened a 41,000-square-foot clinic in the Old Mill District, about a mile from its existing Westside Clinic on SW Mt. Bachelor Drive.
