• Bobbie Strome is the top listing agent for May at John L. Scott Real Estate in Redmond.
• Bruce Cummings has been named vice president for the Bethlehem Inn board of directors. Cummings has served on the board for more than two years. He spent over 30 years as a broadcast journalist for NBC Nightly News.
• Glenn Kotara has been elected to the Bethlehem Inn board of directors. Kotara is a retired land developer who also serves on the board for St. Vincent de Paul in La Pine.
• John Sorlie has been elected to the Bethlehem Inn board of directors. Sorlie has been an attorney with Bryant, Lovlien and Jarvis for over 20 years.
• Julie Fahlgren is the top selling agent for May at Coldwell Banker Mayfield Realty in Redmond.
• Kris Rees was the top listing agent for May at Coldwell Banker Mayfield Realty in Redmond.
• Madison Heinrich , of Bend, has joined Intrepid Marketing as a summer intern. Heinrich is studying marketing and economics at Utah State University.
• Brittaine Hunter , of Focus1 Insurance Group — The Juniper Insurance Division in Bend, was named 2015 Customer Service Representative of the Year by the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. Hunter will advance to the National CSR competition.
• Carol Armstrong is the top listing broker for May at Windermere/Central Oregon Real Estate in Bend.
• Lisa Hart was the top listing broker for May at Windermere/Central Oregon Real Estate in Redmond.
• Cleme Rinehart , Patty Dempsey and Andrea Phelps, of the RDP Group, are the top selling brokers for May at Winder-mere/Central Oregon Real Estate in Bend.
• Audrey Cook is the top selling broker for May at Windermere/Central Oregon Real Estate in Redmond.
• Brian Vernon has been named store manager for U.S. Cellar in Bend and Redmond.
• Laura C. Cooper , of Ball Janik LLP in Bend, was elected to the Oregon Women Lawyers board as a president-elect. Previously, Cooper, who served as treasurer for three years, is the managing partner at Ball Janik LLP in Bend.
• Megan Burgess , of Bend, will continue to serve as a member of the Oregon Women Lawyers board.
• Jon Stark , Redmond Economic Development Inc. senior manager, won the Outstanding Community Contribution Award by the Oregon Association for Career and Technical Education. Stark serves on multiple committees and boards including the Oregon Development Association, Team Oregon Advanced Manufacturing, Better Together and the Central Oregon Air Service Team.
• Doug Vakoc has been elected to the Newberry Habitat for Humanity board of directors. Vakoc is an Oregon native and has worked as both president and board member of the Sunriver Anglers.
• Karl Ockert has joined Deschutes Brewery as director of brewery operations. Ockert has over 30 years of experience in the brewing industry. Previously he worked for 20 years at Bridgeport Brewing Co., most recently served as an independent consulting brewmaster and the technical director for the Master Brewers Association of the Americas.
