BEND — The Bend Summer Festival’s got back this year.

Sir Mix-A-Lot, the Seattle rapper and producer best known for early ’90s hit “Baby Got Back,” will perform July 11 at the annual festival, organizer C3 Events announced today. The performance is in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Bend Summer Festival, which is July 10-12.

The MC, born Anthony Ray, has seen a resurgence in the last year, thanks in part to Nicki Minaj’s hit “Anaconda,” which heavily sampled “Baby Got Back.” Also last year, the rapper collaborated and performed with the Seattle Symphony as part of its Sonic Evolution series inspired by Seattle artists, with London composer Gabriel Prokofiev.
